About

This blog is written entirely by Sacred Heart of Mary Girls' School students and run by the RE Department. All students are encouraged to write about a range of topics connected to religion and the media, religion and the news, as well as topics connected to the GCSE and A-Level syllabus. To write a post, please ask Mr Lewis [email] for a login. You can then login via the Blogger site. Try to tag your articles so that they can easily be found by others!

Some suggested ideas:
  • RE in the News - Has there been a story in the news recently that is connected to religion? How have religious people reacted?
  • RE in the Media - Have you watched a film that has ethical, moral or philosophical links (see below)?  Is there a song that has particular spiritual meaning?
  • The Big Questions in RE: How can we know God exists? What happens when we die? Is it possible that God exists with all the suffering in the world? How can Science and Religion work together?
  • Revision / Overview: Could you write a short summary of a topic to help others with revision?
  • Creative Writing: Are you able to write a reflective, creative piece connected to an RE topic?
